Christian Community Action

Christian Community Action (CCA) is one of the largest nonprofits in Denton County. They serve over 12,000 individuals and families, work with 8 school districts, and reach people in four North Texas counties. The organization began in 1973, when eight people reflected on Matthew 25 during a Bible study and made a lifelong commitment to serve “the least of these.” Today, CCA has 30 employees and more than 5,500 volunteers. They aim to support everyone who finds themselves in a vulnerable position, from seniors living on fixed incomes to families who need to provide groceries for their children.

Each year, CCA hosts their Hopeful Hearts 5K and 1-mile Stampede. In 2023, GDS Wealth Management donated funds to this event, and every dollar went directly towards CCA’s core mission of changing lives right here in our community. It is our hope that every family can thrive, and we are proud to be part of the work CCA is doing to help those around us.
