We had an eventful month here at GDS! Despite some strong summer storms here in North Texas, we weathered May well and are looking forward to seeing what June has in store.

Reuters interviewed Glen Smith, our CEO and CIO, this month. He discussed the Consumer Price Index report, commenting on the downward trends in inflation and potential Federal Reserve interest rate cuts. If you missed out on the interview, visit one of our social media pages to watch it! IBT, Bloomberg, Pensions & Investments, CNN Business, and Market Watch also quoted Glen. Be sure to check out his valuable commentary on current financial issues!

May marked Erica’s ten-year anniversary with GDS. As our Chief Compliance Officer and one of the original team members, Erica’s hard work and loyalty have played an invaluable role in making GDS what it is today. In addition to the innumerable things she does to make our business run smoothly, Erica has dedicated her time to helping you, our wonderful clients, have a positive experience with our team. We are so thankful to have such a thoughtful and generous coworker!

Although we certainly got a lot done this month, May was not all work and no play! Two of our financial advisers, Tim and Sebastian, participated in a charity pickleball tournament at TCU. The duo came in second place overall, winning some tough matches against semi-professional rivals.

We also celebrated Mother’s Day by honoring the moms of our team members. We would not be where we are today without their love and support. To all of our clients who are mothers, we hope you had a special day of celebration with your families – you deserve it!

May concluded with a reminder of the reason we are able to live and work here in this country. We honored those who gave their lives in service. Their ultimate sacrifice does not go unremembered or unrecognized. We are deeply grateful to all who served. We can never repay your sacrifice, but we see it and appreciate it.

As school wraps up and summer fun officially starts, we look forward to June! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office if you have any questions or concerns. Contact us at (469) 212-8072 or visit www.gdswealth.com. One of our team members would be happy to help you.
