As spring begins to take shape, March offered a reminder of what makes our work meaningful, not just the markets and planning conversations, but the relationships, community involvement, and ongoing commitment to being a resource for the people we serve.
From local events to new content and partnerships, here’s a look at what happened at GDS Wealth Management in March.
This month we participated in a Shamrock Stroll celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It was a great opportunity for Glen and the team to connect with members of the community, share how we serve clients, and talk through what it means to plan for a strong financial future with intention.
Moments like these matter. Financial planning doesn’t happen in isolation, it’s rooted in real lives, real goals, and real conversations. Being present in the community allows us to better understand and serve the people we work with every day.
March also gave us the opportunity to support several organizations making a meaningful impact locally. GDS was proud to sponsor the Coram Deo Academy Gala, Veterans Outpost Gala, and the My Possibilities Ball.
Each of these events reflects a different kind of impact, from education and community development to supporting veterans and creating opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’re grateful to play a role in supporting organizations that are strengthening the community we’re proud to be part of.
In March, we released two new episodes of GDS Unplugged, each centered on simplifying complex ideas and offering practical perspective.
Both episodes are available on YouTube and major podcast platforms.
Our Retirement Blueprint series continued in March with a focus on foundational ideas that often shape long-term outcomes more than any short-term market movement.
Recent episodes explored topics such as time in the market vs. timing the market, whether Social Security is running out, and what investors should understand before claiming benefits.
These are the types of questions we hear often, and for good reason. When approached thoughtfully and integrated into a broader plan, these decisions can have a meaningful impact on long-term flexibility and confidence.
Ongoing education remains central to our mission.
In March, we published new written content designed to simplify complex planning topics and provide practical guidance, including:
We continue to build out our Learning Center with resources intended to help individuals and families make more informed, confident decisions over time.
We’re excited to announce that GDS Wealth Management is now an official sponsor of the Frisco RoughRiders.
This partnership reflects our continued commitment to supporting the local community and being present in the moments that bring people together. We look forward to a great season ahead and the opportunity to connect with clients, families, and the broader North Texas community throughout the year.
Join us for a complimentary community shred event on Saturday, May 2, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at our Flower Mound office.
Clients, friends, and family are all welcome. We encourage you to start setting aside documents now and bring them by. Click here to RSVP.
March reflected a strong balance of community, conversation, and continued momentum.
