November brought a joyful mix of celebration, community, and meaningful impact at GDS. From kicking off the holiday season to supporting local schools and nonprofits, the month was full of connection and gratitude. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights.

On the thought leadership front, CEO & Founder Glen Smith continued to represent GDS on national and global stages. His market insights and perspective on the evolving economy were featured in Bloomberg, Fortune, FA Magazine, Business Insider, Seeking Alpha, CNBC, MSN, and Barron’s. Glen also appeared on BBC News program Business Today to discuss market trends, the government shutdown, and the influence of AI on the economic landscape. We’re proud to see his insights reaching audiences worldwide.
November included one of our favorite events of the year, the GDS Christmas Photo Experience. More than 300 guests joined us for an afternoon of holiday cheer. Families sipped hot chocolate, visited with real reindeer, and posed for complimentary photos with Santa. The smiles, laughter, and festive spirit made it a heartwarming start to the season and a reminder of why this event has become such a cherished GDS tradition.
Our commitment to the next generation stayed front and center in November. GDS supported Liberty Christian School, Flower Mound High School, and Coram Deo Academy, helping support the academic, athletic, and leadership programs that shape tomorrow’s thinkers and innovators. We are proud to stand alongside these schools as they equip students to thrive.

This month also highlighted our dedication to serving the broader community. GDS sponsored Ranch Hands Rescue—an organization that provides trauma therapy, a safe house, and compassionate care for both people and animals in need. We also had the privilege of providing a full Thanksgiving meal to the residents of Refuge for Women, ensuring every resident in their North Texas homes could enjoy a warm and comforting holiday dinner. These partnerships reflect our belief in supporting strong communities.
November brought fresh educational content to the GDS Learning Center. Two new podcast episodes were released: one breaking down how much to contribute to your 401(k), and another exploring why the S&P 500 isn’t always the full story for long-term investors.
401(k) Contributions Explained How Much Is Right for You [Ep. 16]
Beyond the S&P 500: Why Index Funds Aren’t Always the Answer [Ep. 17]
We also published new blogs covering the cost of working with a financial advisor, how GDS serves clients nationwide, and what a 2.8% Social Security benefit increase means for 2026.

Each piece was designed to empower readers and listeners with clear, practical insights. Visit our Learning Center for these articles and more. If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover next, email us at gds@gdswealth.com, we’d love to hear from you.
As we close the books on November and look toward a new year, we’re deeply grateful—for our clients, our community, and the opportunity to do work that matters. Thank you for being part of the GDS family. We look forward to continuing this journey with you in the year ahead.
