Ji Seon

Ji Seon is a Financial Planner at GDS Wealth Management, where he applies an analytical and client-focused approach to financial planning and wealth management. With a strong background in business strategy and process improvement, Ji uses a data-driven approach to help clients navigate complex financial situations and develop thoughtful, personalized plans.  

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Ji moved to the United States at the age of five. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and later completed his MBA at the University of Michigan. Ji began his career at Ford Motor Company, where he spent four years automating and optimizing operations in Michigan. His experience in innovation and efficiency naturally transitioned into his work at GDS, where he applies those same principles to financial planning and wealth management. 

Now based in Dallas, Ji is dedicated to helping clients pursue their financial goals through an evidence-based planning process. He combines technical expertise with a relationship-driven approach to advising, aiming to foster clarity and informed decision-making for his clients. 

Outside of his professional role, Ji leads an active and well-rounded lifestyle. He has completed three marathons in Austin, holds a black belt in Kung Fu, and is fluent in both English and Korean. When not boxing or rock climbing, Ji enjoys cooking and contributing to his family’s sushi restaurant in Flower Mound. Deeply family-oriented, he values quality time with loved ones and finds fulfillment in serving his community and clients alike.
